Don't Call Me, I'll Call You

Today was my last day at work and I am sad. (Profound huh)? I feel like I just went through a bad breakup. I am in the minority of people who are obsessed with what they do for a living. I was so blessed with a job I loved, a company I loved and some of the best people I've ever known. Saying goodbye to them was so tough today and even through the reassurance that this is going to be a great adventure, I couldn't help but feel a sadness I can't quite express. I know it's only 6 months and the job will be waiting for me when I return but I still feel a void that comes at the end of something really great and the beginning of an unknown. So, here's to the unknown and a glass raised to the people I hold so dearly in my heart that I will miss terribly while I'm away. Hong Kong, here we come....

Mizuno Hong Kong Half Marathon

I've decided I'm going to do this race. If I put it here in writing then I might be less likely to back out. Check out the website-I'm sure it'll be a cinch to navigate around the registration!

More Baby Pics

Sleeping beauty

I took this picture to show how little she is in her Daddy's hands

iPhotos

My little sister, Sandie just arrived in Atlanta from LA. Now we're all together with the baby and it's so nice to have this time before we leave. A plus of having Sandie here is that she is very good with photography and has been teaching me how to use my new camera to "doctor" up pictures. This picture is one I took of Abby's dress at her wedding that 'lil Sand made look much cooler with my iphoto application.

Thanksgiving

This year we had planned on doing Thanksgiving with our friends here in Charlotte. When we told them we would be moving Elena's mom made sure we didn't miss out on our Thanksgiving feast. So this past weekend we had a true Thanksgiving dinner in the middle of July. Charlie fried some turkeys and we had dressing, mac and cheese and casseroles. It was the nicest most fun way to send us off to Hong Kong. Now I'm not worried about not having a traditional Thanksgiving when we're there because we have already had our feast with our wonderful friends. Ironically there was still "futbol" to watch. Yes it was Spain and not the Detroit Lions playing but it was still fun to fall in and out of sleep watching. It was a great time! Thanks dear friends! We love you!

Free Hugs

This reminds me of a quote from one of my favorite movies..."love really is all around." I love this!
